We hosted the Keeshond Club of America National Specialty in 2006 and 2012. We are named after the tallest active volcano in Oregon, Mount Hood. Mount Hood dominates the Willamette Valley, Oregon's major agricultural center.

Board Meeting:
When: TBD
Time: TBD
Where: TBD

General Meeting:
When:Sunday,February 22,2015
Time:Following Keeshond Judging.
Where:Linn County Kennel Club show, Albany, OR

Agenda: (Note: Please call or email Lynn if you have additional agenda topics.)
  1. March 14 obedience/rally trials - we need stewards, entries, food, clean up
  2. National Specialty help. The national is in the Sacramento area this year the week of May 5. The host club is asking for our help financial and volunteers - what do we feel we can do for them? Who's going?
  3. September trials - Our corresponding dates are Sept. 11-12. Timberland DFA in Centralia is moving to that weekend, while they are technically out of our area and no conflict for akc purposes, it will really hurt our entry. Judi recommends we move to the following weekend Sept 19-20. It may still conflict with Gig Harbor, but she thinks they are moving their date too. Judi will contact AKC to confirm which weekends are open.
  4. Not too soon to start planning for the December events
  5. Review 2014 financials and get a report on our December specialty in 2014.
  6. New Business
  7. For the good of the Order, social and brags.

Dog BARK! Take a look at our first club day at the Wilsonville dog park.
Another sunny Saturday! and a Good Time was had by all! These are happening monthly or more often, and getting bigger and better each time we flock.
Summer days are special. Coming soon to a dog park near you.

Bark For the Park We've had so much fun at the Dog Park, we thought we should do something for them. So we had a fund raiser at the Wilsonville Memorial Park. We had a great time on a hot Summer day, and earned several hundred dollars for Dog Park development. Here's a picture album, and here's another one.

Looking for a Keeshond?
E-Mail the club President for referral to a reputable Oregon breeder who subscribes to the Keeshond Club of America code of ethics. You'll find a referral list of people outside Oregon at KCA Parent Club. Stacy can help you meet one of the great Oregon rescue dogs waiting in foster, if you don't have to have a puppy.
