2-person team: This will be for teams of two dogs and their handlers. A third dog may be entered to be considered an alternate for which no entry fee will be required. However, the same two dogs will perform all exercises. Dogs may be handled by the owner or any other person, need not be entered in any other class at this trial, and need not have any obedience titles. Dogs must otherwise be eligible for entry in this trial. A separate entry form shall be completed for each dog. Entries for the 2 (or 3) dogs making up a team must be submitted together.

There will be one judge, who shall score the performance of the teams. At the judge’s discretion, a steward may call the orders as directed by the judge. Each dog and handler will be scored individually as well as on team precision and coordination. Individual dogs scores need not be recorded. Total possible points for each team is 400.

Exercises. The dogs on the team will perform the exercises simultaneously, and will be judged as in the Team class, except as follows:

  • The Recall exercise will be executed by both handlers calling their dogs simultaneously. There will be no drop on recall.
  • For the figure 8 portion of the Heel on Leash exercise, three stewards will be used.
  • There will be no Long sit, only a long down.
